About PT ReCyclery

We sell used bikes, new & used parts, accessories like racks, bags, gloves, helmets, etc.

We run a full-service repair shop - just like any other bike shop - but we also host workshops designed for people to learn how to fix and maintain their own bikes in an open environment where everyone is welcomed and no one is turned away because of financial barriers.

We strive to educate all members of the community about the benefits of riding and maintaining the bicycle.

During our bike education courses at our local Jefferson County schools, we educate students how to safely share the road with cars and other bicyclists

The ReCyclery is located on ancestral S'Klallam land.

Our Mission

Promoting bicycle use for a healthier and more sustainable community

In recognition of the benefits of community advocacy, we support and advocate for the following community policies and practices that:
  • Increase access to bicycles and cycling as a means of transportation regardless of socio-economics, race, and gender.
  • Make cycling safe, predictable, efficient and more comfortable for every rider in our community
  •  Increase the distribution of public monies to cycling infrastructure, access to bicycles, and bicycle education.
  • Elevate cycling as a transportation priority, creates safe cycling spaces, and brings awareness of cyclists’ Right to the Road* to the forefront of community residents, drivers, and policymakers.
  • Support and encourage other community groups to use their own advocacy voices regarding mobility and transportation.
  • Reduce greenhouse gases, and encourages communities to engage in sustainable transportation planning.
  • Encourage cycling as a healthy means to combat the rise of childhood obesity** and other related maladies of childhood inactivity as a result of inaccessible safe riding opportunities.
