2021 TDF Rider Registration
Welcome to the 2021 Tour de Forts rider registration! Tour de Forts is the ReCyclery's largest fundraising event of the year.
Join us for the Big Ride on Saturday, October 9, 2021
A Gran Fondo (Italian for 'big ride') style metric century on the Olympic Peninsula with all proceeds benefiting The ReCyclery of Jefferson County programing.
Tour three historic forts (Forts Worden, Townsend, and Flagler), waterfront scenery and beautiful Port Townsend, culminating in an afterparty celebration at Discovery Bay Brewing featuring live music, food and a free drink for all participants.
This event is primarily a road ride with sections of gravel and hard pack. The ride is predominately self supported with some snacks provided at the start and the option for riders to check back in after the first 14 miles. Afterwards riders can rely on several small business for servicing. Turn-by-turn navigation will be provided through Ride with GPS (with notable services marked) and printable maps available.
This years’ event will implement a staggered start, grouping riders into one of several start times for a “big ride” feel and the goal of having participants finish at a similar time. All start times will have a recommended pace, but ultimately the rider decides where to self seed.
Tickets and additional information will be emailed out upon registration. Look out for additional information closer to the day of the event.
This year’s event is also designed to have a much lower impact on the environment, predominantly through the reduction of carbon output from vehicles used to mark the route and service support stations.
Day of registration starts at 8am and the afterparty is underway at 2pm.
Please note that as of 9/4/21, Jefferson County requires proof of vaccination for all patrons entering a restaurant or bar. Please have proof of vaccination record available.
**** 8/24 note: We have updated the route this week to reflect some changes- including, but not limited to one large edit that will take riders from Four Corners Rd to HWY 19 into Chimacum and NOT HWY 20 to Anderson Lake. The updated route will be emailed to all registered participants as well as reflected here on the website. Please note that this route has changed from previous years. We will also offer smaller loops for those who want to ride but may not be committed to an entire metric century.
All participants must read and consent to the Tour de Forts Waiver & Release of Liability before registering for the event. Proof of vaccination will be required, per Jefferson County Public Health, for anyone entering Discovery Bay Brewery.
