This class is designed for beginners to learn how to approach bicycle mechanics.  Foundations 1 is the first step to diagnosing issues with your bike.

Foundation 1: Intro to Bike Mechanics

Identification of key components and functionality

Foundations 2 will build upon topics learned in Foundations 1. Each student will assemble a bike using classroom tools, focusing on adjusting and overhauling the headset, hub, and bottom bracket.

Foundations 2: Intro to Bike Mechanics 2

Assembling & Basic Bearing Adjustments

This class will walk students through the process of identifying rims that are out of round, how to use a truing stand, and how to adjust spoke tension to straighten out rims.

Wheel Truing

This class will teach you how to straighten out your rim!
