Bi-LINGUAL
ACCESS MECHANIC
The Access Mechanic assumes primary responsibility for teaching bike maintenance and assisting participants who do not speak English, in fixing their bikes. Access nights are open shop time for those with underrecognized identities in cycling and bike mechanics to have a comfortable space to learn how to work on bikes.

LEAD BIKE EDUCATOR
for our
TEENS BIKING TO DESTINATIONS PROGRAM
Position Summary: To prepare for and lead multiple cohorts of the Teens Biking To Destinations program for students in 6th - 12th grades. Each cohort runs for 12 - 15 weeks, meeting weekly, after school. The program follows a pre-built curriculum that involves basic bike maintenance, bike riding skills and group rides.

​Overall: The Lead Educator helps build a sense of community using the 6 C’s (Confidence, Competence, Connection, Caring, Contribution, Character) models and fosters good communication skills and looks for opportunities to include everyone. The role is both mentor and instructor.

Classification:
Part time @ $38 - $40 /per hour (depending on experience)
Weekly hours: 6 - 14 (depending on # of cohorts running)

ASSISTANT BIKE EDUCATOR
